“Education is a weapon whose effects depend on who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed"

When examining any society, one of the most important aspects of a civilization is the amount of education it has attained. Joseph Stalin was right when he said that the effects of education depends upon who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed. Education is by far a kingdom of knowledge that can only lead to eternal success provided one is dedicated and diligent in the efforts he or she makes.

Educating a child is like hand-painting, you don’t want to force too hard and neither do you want to press too gently. A blend of the right paints and an artists impression is what makes a picture perfect and so education should be treated in the same manner.

Educating the youth allows their minds to develop and blossom like the petals of a flower, if even one petal falls of, the rose looks incomplete and thus any flaw in one’s educational background forces life to turn in a totally different direction.

At BIS not only do we provide education, we exemplify what education is and how it should be practiced. Our school is built on a tradition and lays on a foundation which integrates exemplary instruction, design, research and technology.

The British International School is the recognized center of excellence for British education in Pakistan. We provide our students with a broad-based curriculum and apply our motto of ‘excellence’ to education, sports and extra-curricular activities.

The school offers a unique educational experience which develops self-reliance and the ability to form opinions and make judgments based on knowledge and skills students acquire for themselves and not just information that they have learned from the pages of books.

It is our aim to provide our students with the education that they will need to face the challenges of the 21st century. Please come and visit the school and see a true British education here in Pakistan.

Students are perhaps the most important and vulnerable entity the school has.

Teachers do hold their own respective importance but it is really the students that make the school go round.

A school is defined as a physical existence that educates a child and thus our main focus here at the British International School are the students.

It is important that every student in a school is given the equal opportunity to study, socialize and empower themselves with the knowledge and inspiration needed to succeed in life.

After all students are the future of our upcoming generations.

At British International School students are constantly monitored in every aspect of their student careers.

From the moment a student walks into the corridors of the school, his uniform, his appearance is all noticed.

Our school notices how important discipline is to a student and his future, thus we emphasize and react strictly to any mishaps caused by our students.

A school is opened for students to study and for teachers to teach. A student is not a student unless he or she is given the attention of a teacher.

A classroom with no teacher is just an environment for one’s socializing. But as soon as the gifted authority enters a class, seriousness and the attitude of studying develops.

The job of a teacher is not only to educate the youth but to pass on what he or she has learned to those who are willing to learn.

At BIS you will find that most if not all teachers are educated from noticeable international universities.

Our faculty of Mathematics is one of the best faculties present in Karachi. Other than just education, we have a great faculty of sports.

Our school has one of the best Basketball coaches in Karachi. Having played basketball in Houston, Texas for more than 35 years, Mr. Aziz Muhammad is the coach of the British International School Warriors. For more information on Mr. Aziz please visit the sports section.

This section of teachers also includes a sub-section for prospective teachers. Those that are looking forward to working in the British International School can view the process of applying in the Prospective teachers section.
